Michael's phantom body

Allright, I guess as the "phantomologist" I have to say something about this video that's all over the webz right now. Well, there are tons of rational explanations for this interesting effect, and also many explanations as to why this is even a topic for discussion between adults in the 21th century. I just want to reproduce here what a commenter (n°47) said on the Pharyngula thread to this ridiculous topic:
